Buducnost VOLI Podgorica strengthened its backcourt by inking point guard Igor Drobnjak to a three-year deal, the club announced Thursday.

Drobnjak (1.88 meters, 21 years old) arrives from Studentski Center Podgorica, where he averaged 12.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 18 Adriatic League second division games last season, helping his team win the title. Born in Podgorica, Drobnjak started his career with Buducnost's U16 and U18 teams. He also played for Mega Bemax Belgrade of Serbia, but had shorts stints with Buducnost at the end of the 2018-19 and 2019-20 campaigns. He helped Buducnost lift the Montenegrin League title in 2019. Drobnjak has also been a member of the Montenegrin national team.
