Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar added one of the top scorers in competition history by signing guard Errick McCollum for the coming season.
Lokomotiv lands scoring ace McCollum
McCollum (1.88 meters, 33 years old) is a former 7DAYS EuroCup champion and MVP, who enters this season ranked fourth on the all-time EuroCup scoring charts with 1,222 points. He needs only 18 points to catch Rafa Martinez for third place. McCollum has averaged 17.0 points and 3.0 assists in 72 career EuroCup games.
McCollum arrives from fellow Russian club Khimki Moscow Region, where he averaged 11.6 points and 2.3 assists in 28 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games. Lokomotiv will be McCollum's fourth EuroCup club after playing a season each for Panionios Athens and Galatasaray Istanbul and two with UNICS Kazan. He won the title with Galatasaray in 2016 and led UNICS to the semifinals in 2019. McCollum was named to the All-EuroCup First Team in both of those season. He has also played for Elitzur Netanya and Hapoel Kfar Saba in Israel, Apollon Patras in Greece, Zhejiang and Beikong Fly Dragons in China.
