Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar retained a veteran leader from last year's team by re-signing Ivan Paunic to a one-year contract, the club announced Saturday.

Paunic (1.98 meters, 34 years old) arrived at Lokomotiv last season from Mega Belgrade and averaged 1.7 points and 0.8 rebounds in 6 minutes in six EuroCup games. The 2021-22 season will be the Serbian guard's seventh campaign in the EuroCup. He also played in the competition with Greek side Aris (2009-10), Azovmash Mariupol of Ukraine (2012-13), Montenegro club Buducnost VOLI Podgorica (2014-15), Fuenlabrada of Spain (2016-17) and Turkish club Tofas Bursa (2017-18). Paunic was also a member of the Serbian national team, taking silver at the FIBA EuroBasket 2009 while also playing at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2010 and the 2011 EuroBasket.
