Boulogne Metropolitans 92 strengthened its frontcourt with the addition of forward Bandja Sy who signed a two-year contract, the club announced on Wednesday.
Metropolitans adds size, experience with Sy
Sy (2.04 meters, 31 years old) arrives from MoraBanc Andorra where he spent the past two years. Last season he posted 4.9 points and 2.4 rebounds in the 7DAYS EuroCup, and also posted 5.8 points and 3.9 rebounds in the Spanish League action. Sy is a veteran of five EuroCup seasons, after playing in the competition for SLUC Nancy of France in 2014-15 and 2015-16 and Partizan NIS Belgrade in 2018-19. Sy played college basketball for New Mexico in the United States, before starting his professional basketball career in 2013 with French side Pau-Orthez. In between his stints with Nancy and Partizan, Sy played the 2016-17 season with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and had a brief stint with AEK Athens of Greece. Born on the outskirts of the French capital, Sy now returns home to solidify Metropolitans' front line.
