Buducnost brings on swingman Atic

Atic (2.01 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Igokea in his native Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he averaged 10.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists last season over 36 games split between the Adriatic League and the FIBA Champions League. Atic had started his career in Spars Sarajevo, with whose U18 team he starred in the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament, averaging 19.6 points over two seasons, including an appearance in the 2015 ANGT Finals, when he ranked second with 18.7 points per game. He moved from Spars to AEK the next season and made a brief debut in the EuroCup, scoring one basket in three appearances during the regular season at age 18. He played since with Trikala of Greece and Mega Bemax of Serbia before joining Igokea last season.

Ulm extends homegrown forward Philipps

Philipps (2.03 meters, 23 years old) grew up with Ulm and the only player who has been with the club longer than him is team captain Per Guenther. Philipps averaged 4.0 points and 3.6 rebounds last season in the first five games of the 7DAYS EuroCup before the injury bug hit. He appeared in a total of seven EuroCup games and 17 German League games – posting 3.5 points and 2.0 rebounds - but has not played in 2021. With 22 EuroCup appearances over the last three seasons, Philipps is now heading into his fifth season with the club.

Buducnost VOLI Podgorica reached an agreement with head coach Aleksandar Dzikic, who signed a contract until the end of the 2022-23 season, the club announced Tuesday

Buducnost brings back Coach Dzikic

Dzikic, age 50, last coached Spanish side Movistar Estudiantes, but part ways with that team in January 2020. This is Dzikic's second stint with Buducnost. In the first one, from 2017 to December 2018, Dzikic helped Buducnost win the Montenegrin Cup and the Adriatic League titles in 2018. It was the first and only Adriatic League title ever won by a Montenegrin team, and allowed Buducnost to take part in the 2018-19 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaign. Dzikic started his coaching career with Union Olimpija Ljubljana and Krka Novo Mesto of Slovenia, and also coached Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius of Lithuania and Partizan NIS Belgrade of Serbia. He helped Krka win three Slovenian League and two Slovenian Cup titles, also lifting the EuroChallenge trophy in 2011. Dzikic also won the Slovenian double - league and cup trophies - with Olimpija in 2008 and led Rytas to the EuroCup semifinals in 2012.

Hamburg Towers strengthened its roster months ahead of its 7DAYS EuroCup debut by adding forward Lukas Meisner on a one-year deal, the club announced Tuesday.

Hamburg adds Meisner at forward

Meisner (2.05 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Basketball Loewen Braunschweig, where he averaged 14.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 15 German League games last season, which was cut short due to a shoulder injury. He grew up with Braunschweig and also played for Columbia University in the United States and medi Bayreuth of Germany. Meisner has also been a member of the German national team, too.

"Hamburg is already like my second home. I have a lot of family here and really enjoy spending a lot of time with them and with my little nephew. Hamburg is a great city, I have already met a lot of great people here."

Valencia Basket on Monday hired Joan Peñarroya to be its head coach for the coming season. Peñarroya, 52, arrives from San Pablo Burgos, where he spent the last two seasons. He helped Burgos win back-to-back Basketball Champions League titles in 2020 and 2021. Burgos also lifted the Intercontinental Cup trophy in 2021 and made it to the Spanish League semifinals in 2020. A former player, Peñarroya started his coaching career with CB Olesa, and also spent time with CB Navas, MoraBanc Andorra and Basquet Manresa. He helped Andorra win the Spanish third division title in 2012 and lifted the Spanish second division in 2014 to guide the team back to the Spanish elite. Peñarroya coached Andorra in the 2017-18 7DAYS EuroCup campaign, which was his eighth consecutive season with the club. Peñarroya now returns to the EuroCup to coach the winningest team in competition history.

Partizan invests in future with Jovanovic

This is the first professional contract for Jovanovic (2.00 meters, 18 years old) who made his professional debut with the club in April and appeared in four Adriatic League games averaging 2.8 points and 2.0 rebounds in limited minutes. Prior to that, Jovanovic shined for U18 Partizan at the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament Belgrade earlier in March, where he was voted to the All-Tournament team collecting 20.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists including 46.4% three-point shooting for an average PIR of 24.3. He is now set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut.

Valencia Basket strengthened its backcourt by inking playmaker Neno Dimitrijevic to a four-year deal, the club announced Saturday. Dimitrijevic (1.86 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Joventut Badalona, where he averaged 12.9 points and 3.6 assists in 16 7DAYS EuroCup games last season, helping his team reach the playoffs. He had two of his best games against the two EuroCup finalists, getting 23 points and a PIR of 27 against UNICS Kazan in Regular Season Round 10, and collecting 22 points and a PIR of 23 against AS Monaco.

Born in Skopje, North Macedonia, Dimitrijevic joined Joventut in 2012 and made his first team debut in 2016. He also played for Arenys Basquet Joventut before becoming a full-time member of his team's first squad in the 2017-18 season. Dimitrijevic is also a member of the North Macedonian national team. In 31 EuroCup career games with Joventut, Dimitrijevic amassed 385 points (12.4 ppg.) and 117 assists (3.8 apg.).

Muric (2.01 meters, 29 years old) averaged 9.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in 16 7DAYS EuroCup games last season, 12 of them as a starter. This will be Muric's sixth EuroCup season, as he has also played with KRKA Novo Mesto, Partizan NIS Belgrade, and Cedevita Zagreb before moving to Ljubljana when Cedevita and Olimpija merged into one club.

Known for his defensive presence on the perimeter, DiLeo (1.81 meters, 28 years old) averaged 3.1 points, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals last season, helping Hamburg reach the German League playoffs. That was his first season with Hamburg, after previously spending two seasons apiece with fellow German sides Rasta Vechta and Oettinger, and one season in Koeln.
