Partizan NIS Belgrade continued making July splashes on Tuesday night with the signing of power forward Zach LeDay on a two-year deal.
Partizan bolsters frontcourt with LeDay
LeDay (2.02 meters, 27 years old) arrives from AX Armani Exchange Milan, the team he helped reach the 2021 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four. He started in 34 out of his 36 appearances, playing nearly 25 minutes per game, while averaging 10.0 points and a team-high 4.5 rebounds. LeDay ranked ninth in the EuroLeague with 46.6% three-point shooting. That was his third EuroLeague season, after making a debut with Olympiacos Piraeus in the 2018-19 campaign, and spending the following season with Zalgiris Kaunas. In 94 appearances he averaged 10.4 points on 43.5% three-point shooting and 4.4 rebounds.
LeDay is the second Milan player to join Partizan this summer after guard Kevin Punter signed late last week. He started his professional basketball career with Hapoel Galil Gilboa of Israel. He ranked second in the Israeli League that year with 19.5 points per game and fifth in rebounds with 8.2. LeDay split his university career between South Florida and Virginia Tech. LeDay is now set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut.
