Valencia Basket announced on Thursday morning the addition of big man Jasiel Rivero for the next two seasons.

Rivero (2.06 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Burgos of the Spanish League, where he played the last two seasons under new Valencia coach, Joan Penarroya. Last season, Rivero played 35 Spanish League games and averaged 12.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in over 23 minutes on court. He was also a key piece of the Burgos team that won two FIBA Champions League titles and an Intercontinental Cup. He started his pro career in his native Cuba and in 2016 he moved to Spain to join Estudiantes Madrid. It was in 2018 that he joined Burgos and became a key player. This season will mark Rivero's debut in the 7DAYS EuroCup.
