FC Bayern Munich signed experienced swingman Darrun Hilliard to a one-year deal with an option for another season, the club announced Friday. Hilliard (1.98 meters, 28 years old) arrives from CSKA Moscow, where he spent the last two years. Last season, he posted 8.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in helping CSKA reach the Final Four. He also helped CSKA win the VTB League title last season. It was the third EuroLeague campaign for Hilliard, who made his EuroLeague debut with Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz during the 2018-19 season. In a total of 98 appearances in the competition, Hilliard has averaged 9.5 points and 2.4 rebounds.

Hilliard started his professional career in the NBA, where he played parts of three seasons for San Antonio and Detroit. He also won the 2018 D-League title with Austin while averaging 21.2 points per game. Hilliard also played for the United States national team that took the gold medal at the 2017 FIBA AmeriCup and was named to the All-tournament team.
