Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion Anadolu Efes Istanbul reached a new agreement with power forward Adrien Moerman to keep working together next season, the club announced on Friday.
Efes, Moerman agree again
Moerman (2.02 meters, 32 years old) averaged 6.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 41 EuroLeague games last season, helping Efes conquer its first continental crown. In his three seasons with Efes, Moerman has also won Turkish League titles in 2019 and 2021 and reached another EuroLeague Championship Game in 2019, losing against CSKA Moscow. He started his career in his native France, playing for Chorale Roanne, Nanterre 92, Entente Orlanaise and SLUC Nancy. Moerman then played for Bilbao Basket and FC Barcelona of Spain, Limoges CSP of France, as well as for Banvit Bandirma and Darussafaka Istanbul of Turkey. He won the French League title twice, with Roanne in 2007 and Limoges in 2015. Moerman also lifted the French Cup trophy with Orleans in 2010, won the Spanish Cup crown with Barcelona in 2018, got the French Semaine des As title with Roanne in 2007 and took Bilbao to the 7DAYS EuroCup Championship Game in 2013. He has also been a member of the French national team. He led France to respective gold medals at the 2004 U16 European Championships and the 2006 U18 European Championships, as well as getting a bronze medal at the 2007 U19 World Cup.
