AS Monaco and star guard Rob Gray, the MVP of the 7DAYS EuroCup Finals, agreed on Friday to a new deal that will keep them together for two more seasons.
Monaco re-signs EuroCup Finals MVP Gray
Gray (1.85 meters, 27 years old) joined Monaco during the season and averaged 18.2 points on 50% three-point shooting in 13 EuroCup games. He was the semifinals MVP after scoring 25 points in Game 1 against Herbalife Gran Canaria and making the series winning jumper in Game 2. Gray then averaged 24 points in the finals as Monaco made history by winning the EuroCup. He began the season with French club Boulogne Metropolitans 92 and averaged 14.5 points in four EuroCup games before moving to Monaco.
Gray began his professional basketball career with Fort Wayne of the G League, and also played for JL Bourg Basket before joining Metropolitans last season. Before that, he finished his college career at the University of Houston. Gray can now look forward to making his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Monaco next season.
