Zenit will be Loyd's third EuroLeague stop. He made his EuroLeague debut with Valencia Basket in the 2019-20 campaign, when he averaged 11.1 points on 42.9% three-point shooting plus 2.4 assists in 18 appearances. The season before, Loyd helped Toronto win the NBA championship. He started his professional career in the 2016-17 season in the D-League with Fort Wayne before debuting in Europe with Hapoel Eilat in the Israel League. Loyd then split a season between Toronto and its D-League affiliate team Raptors 905, before joining Valencia in 2019.
