Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul
Founded in 1907, Fenerbahce opened its doors to basketball seven years later. Turkish national championships arrived in 1957, 1959 and 1965 and the club also made EuroLeague appearances following those titles. Another quarter-century passed before the club enjoyed more success when Fener beat Tofas for the 1991 Turkish League crown. In 1999, the club reached the EuroLeague eighthfinals, but it wasn't until 2006 that Fener truly became a European powerhouse by merging with four-time Turkish champion Ulker. It qualified for the EuroLeague Playoffs in 2008. Fenerbahce took an ambitious step forward by hiring Coach Zeljko Obradovic, who took the team to the next level. It made five straight Final Fours from 2015 to 2019 and reached three consecutive EuroLeague Championship Games. Ekpe Udoh, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Jan Vesely made Fenerbahce the first Turkish EuroLeague-winning team in 2017 after they rolled past Real and Olympiacos Piraeus at the Final Four in their own city. Udoh earned Final Four MVP honors. After reaching the EuroLeague Playoffs in 2023 and 2024, head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius led Fenerbahce to a second EuroLeague title last season. Final Four MVP Nigel Hayes-Davis, Wade Baldwin, Marko Guduric, Devon Hall and Tarik Biberovic led Fenerbahce to wins over Panathinaikos and AS Monaco to claim the 2025 EuroLeague crown in Abu Dhabi. Expect Fenerbahce to go for another, backed by an incredible fan base.
