After leading U18 Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius to the title at the Euroleague Basketball ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT Kaunas on Sunday, Deividas Sirvydis was named tournament MVP. Sirvydis was second in the competition in scoring with 17.0 points per game, including 16 in Sunday’s AGNT Kaunas final victory over U18 Stellazzurra Rome. He also averaged 3.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 65.2 percent from two-point range, which was second-best in the tournament.
Joining Sirvydis on the All-Tournament Team are teammate Marek Blazevic, Stellazzurra’s Aristide Mouaha, Rokas Jokubaitis of U18 Zalgiris Kaunas and Mathis Dossou-Yovo of U18 CFBB Paris. Blazevic averaged 12.3 points, including 19 points in Sunday’s final. He also had 11 rebounds against Stellazzurra to average 8.0 boards a game, which ranked fourth-best in the tournament. Blazevic chipped in 1.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks for an average index rating of 20.50, which was second-best in Kaunas. Despite scoring just 6 points in the final, Mouaha led Stellazzurra in scoring with 16.3 per game, which tied for third-highest in the event. He also posted 3.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.0 steals. Jokubaits, who helped Zalgiris to third place, led the tournament in assists with 8.3 per game to go with 15.0 points and 3.8 rebounds. Dossou-Yovo, a fifth-place finisher with CFBB, led the tournament in index rating at 22.8, while finishing tied for third in scoring at 16.3 points per game and a third-best 8.5 rebounds a game. He also had 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per contest.
