Real Madrid’s young star Luka Doncic was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT after guiding Madrid to its first ANGT title. Doncic, who only turned 16 in February and was two years younger than many of the players he competed against, played a huge role in Madrid beating defending champion Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade in the final. For the ANGT Finals, Doncic was second on Madrid in scoring with 11.5 points per game, third in the event in rebounds with 9.0 per game and third with 5.8 assists per game.
