U18 Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade point guard Aleksa Uskokovic was named the MVP of the EUROLEAGUE BASKETBALL ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION Qualifying Tournament Marko Ivkovic Belgrade on Sunday. Uskokovic had an all-round effort in the title game, collecting 20 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds in Zvezda’s 74-61 win over the local rival U18 Mega Bemax Belgrade. Uskokovic averaged 16.8 points on 41.7% three-point shooting, along with 5.3 assists, 3 rebounds and 2.3 steals over four games, leading Zvezda to its seventh straight tournament title, and a place at the ANGT Finals this coming May in Istanbul, Turkey.
Joining Uskokovic on the All-Tournament Team was his teammate, forward Zoran Paunovic who averaged 11.5 points, 6 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.3 assists off the bench, center Goga Bitadze of Mega with his average of 16.5 points and 12 rebounds, also Mega’s forward Nikola Miskovic who averaged 16.5 points and 7 rebounds, as well as Amit Ebo of Maccabi Teddy Tel Aviv who posted 22.8 points per game.
